Wholesale rules

Last updated: 10 October 2026

These rules govern the Biponik wholesale network: merchants who offer their products to us, and merchants who sell products from our hub without holding stock. They are part of our Terms & conditions and apply in addition to them.

Two roles are described here, and a store can hold either or both:

  • a supplying merchant, who offers products to the Biponik hub at a supply price; and
  • a reseller, who sells products from the hub in their own shop at their own price.

In every wholesale order, Biponik is the counterparty to both sides. A reseller buys from us; a supplying merchant sells to us. The two merchants are not in a contract with each other.

1. Access is granted, not bought

Wholesale is not included with a plan and cannot be switched on by a merchant alone. You may ask for access from Modules → Wholesale in your store admin; we decide whether to grant it, and we are not obliged to give a reason.

Until access is granted, nothing wholesale appears in your admin. Turning the module on by itself does not open it.

The same applies to supplying: a store becomes a supplying merchant only when we allowlist it.

2. What an order costs a reseller

Every wholesale order has three parts, shown in full before you send it and recorded on the order afterwards:

  1. the supply price of the goods, as it stood when you imported the product;
  2. the courier charge, where a courier is involved — see below; and
  3. our per-order handling charge, which is set for your account and shown on the order.

The figures that apply to your account are the ones displayed in your admin. We may change them, and a change applies to orders placed after it — never to an order already placed.

When you pay. Every order is paid for when you send it to us, whichever way your buyer pays you. We do not pick, pack or dispatch an order that has not been paid for. If you hold a balance with us, sending the order holds the amount against it; otherwise you are taken to a payment screen and the order waits, with the stock held for you, until the payment lands. Where we have agreed it with you in advance, your account may instead be set to send on account — your orders then go without payment and are settled out of what the courier collects. Your admin says which applies to you before you send.

Who pays delivery. Your customer does, either way. The only question is who hands it to us.

  • When your buyer pays cash on delivery, our courier collects the whole amount — your price and the delivery you charged — and, because you have already paid us for the parcel, it comes back to you less what you had not already paid — the courier’s bill and the share the courier keeps of a cash collection. The goods, the delivery you were charged and our handling charge are not taken out of it a second time. You earn the same either way: paying when you send changes when the money moves, not what you keep.
  • When your buyer pays you at your own checkout, you already hold their delivery charge, so you pass the courier’s cost on to us with the goods. Otherwise we would be paying a courier out of a handling fee, which is a loss on every parcel.
  • A collection from our office has no courier, so there is nothing to pay for delivery.

If a cash-on-delivery parcel is refused, the goods come back to us and we refund you what you paid for them. What it cost to send the parcel out and bring it back, and our handling charge, are not refunded.

The figure comes from the courier’s published rates for the delivery zone and the parcel’s weight. Where a product has no weight recorded, a standard assumed weight is used. On a cash-on-delivery parcel the courier also keeps a percentage of what they collect, and that comes out of the collection too.

3. Your retail price is yours

A reseller sets their own selling price and keeps the difference. We do not set it, publish it, or change it, and we do not require a minimum or maximum.

You are responsible for your own shop: your prices, your product descriptions once published, your customer service, your returns policy and your tax obligations.

4. How goods are delivered

Each reseller account is enabled for one or more of the following, at our discretion:

  • Dropship to the buyer — the parcel goes straight from whoever holds the stock to your customer.
  • Ship to the reseller — the parcel comes to your own address for you to deliver or hold.
  • Collect from our office — you pick the order up.

On a dropship order we may, where your account is set up for it, print the delivery memo under your shop's name and logo, so your customer sees the shop they bought from.

5. Who sees whose details

This is deliberate and we enforce it in the product:

  • A reseller is never told which store supplies a product. No name, logo, phone number or website.
  • A supplying merchant is never told which store sold the order, nor the price it was sold at.
  • On a dropship order, the buyer's name, phone number and delivery address are passed to whoever packs the parcel, because they are handing it to a courier. They receive nothing else about that customer, and must use those details only to fulfil that order.

Attempting to identify, contact or solicit the party on the other side of a wholesale order — or using a buyer's details for anything beyond fulfilling the order they relate to — is a breach of these rules and may end your access immediately.

6. Paying for an order

Your account is set to one of two arrangements, and your admin shows which:

  • From a balance. You hold a float with us. When you send an order its full cost is held, and it is charged when the parcel goes out. Nothing is picked and nothing is owed until then. What you can spend is your balance plus any credit limit we have given you, less whatever is held.
  • Per order. You pay us the order's full cost by bKash before it is sent. The goods are held for you meanwhile, and released if payment does not arrive.

A credit limit, where we give one, is at our discretion and may be reduced or withdrawn.

7. Stock and availability

Stock in the hub is real stock held by a supplying merchant. Where an item runs out it is shown as out of stock in your shop and cannot be ordered. We do not guarantee continuous availability of any product, and a product may be withdrawn from the hub at any time.

Products you have already imported remain in your own shop. If a product is withdrawn, or your access ends, those products stay yours to sell from your own stock — but they will no longer relay to us.

8. Product information

A supplying merchant is responsible for the accuracy, legality and safety of what it offers, and for having the right to sell it.

We may correct or improve the title, description, images or supply price shown to resellers in the hub. Those corrections are ours and do not alter the supplying merchant's own product listing.

9. Returns and refused parcels

If a parcel is refused or comes back:

  • the cost of the goods is credited back to the reseller;
  • our handling charge is given back, because the sale was not completed; and
  • a refusal charge may be kept. A courier was paid to carry the parcel out and back, and that cost does not disappear because the buyer changed their mind. The amount is shown on the order.

Where a reseller paid per order, the amount due back is either credited to their wholesale balance or returned to their bKash, as shown on the order.

On a cash-on-delivery parcel nothing was collected, so nobody earns anything: the goods go back on the shelf and there is no margin on a sale that did not happen.

Cash-on-delivery carries a real refusal rate. Qualifying your own COD orders is your responsibility.

10. Paying a supplying merchant

A supplying merchant is owed the supply price of a parcel from the moment it goes out. Our handling charge and the courier charge are not theirs and never come out of that figure. A refused parcel is taken back off, because the goods return to the shelf.

What you are owed is shown under Wholesale → Earnings in your store admin, with every movement itemised. You may request a payout once the amount owed reaches the minimum shown there, and once you have given us your bKash number. One request may be open at a time.

We settle requests against the bKash details recorded on the request and against a transaction reference, which appears on your statement. We may decline a request, and will say why.

11. Suspension and ending access

We may hold an account — stopping new imports and new orders while everything else stays in place — or end access, at our discretion, including where these rules are breached.

Neither deletes anything. Imported products stay in the reseller's shop, and balances, payouts owed and order history are kept. Orders already in flight are completed and settled under the terms they were placed on.

Either side may stop: a reseller may leave, and a supplying merchant may withdraw its products. Obligations on orders already placed survive.

12. What we are not responsible for

We operate the network, hold the money in transit and arrange fulfilment. We are not responsible for a reseller's own shop, pricing, marketing or customer relationships, nor for a supplying merchant's product quality beyond passing on what they tell us, nor for courier delays or losses beyond what the courier itself accepts.

Nothing here limits any right you have under applicable Bangladeshi law.

13. Changes

We may update these rules. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and a change applies from the date it is published. Continuing to use the wholesale network after a change means you accept it.

14. Questions

Ask us through support, or from Account → Support in your store admin.
